With schools closed in NSW and Victoria, and childcare restricted to authorized workers in Victoria, many children will be at home for the next few weeks. And with their usual creative and physical outlets – libraries, sports, playgroups, and other public places.
Use Zoom, Facetime, or Skype to keep in touch with family and friends, both local and overseas to stay social, and maintain friendships and relationships when you can’t be together.
Now is the time for collaboration for business to partner with government and society to reimagine, rebuild and transform our global economy into one that benefits all stakeholders.
Among those who reach secondary school, girls tend to outperform boys in reading across every country where data are available.
They speak local languages, understand local challenges and have a strong grasp on what it’s like to be a child growing up in that community.
Through these partnerships, ChildFund reaches kids directly while also involving parents, teachers and local governments in upholding children’s rights.
Given their roots in the community, local partners can promote stronger local decision-making and have a greater effect on the local power base.
Every six months, local partners make sure each enrolled child is still living in the community and participating in our programs.
